Project-related findings were also disseminated at the 35th Alzheimer Europe Conference, held in Bologna, Italy, from October 6–8, 2025. The presentation focused on the relationship between sleep fragmentation and cognitive decline in older adults. Sleep fragmentation was quantified using actigraphy monitoring over seven consecutive nights, providing objective measures such as Wake After Sleep Onset (WASO). The results highlighted associations between disrupted sleep continuity and poorer cognitive performance, particularly among individuals without evidence of Alzheimer’s disease pathology.
